Iconic All Analogue Tone!

  • Carl Martin - History

ESR (Carl Martin’s parent company) is a professional PA sound rental company that was founded in 1990. Shortly after its inception, the company began producing custom-made audio equipment. ESR’s goal from the very beginning was to develop and produce products for the demanding professional musician, with superior sound quality and features not seen in other guitar effect pedals. As a result, the company introduced its first guitar effect pedal, the Hot Drive’n Boost, in 1993.

Due to ESR’s extensive knowledge of the professional music industry, and its contacts with a wide range of demanding musicians, the company has been inspired to maintain a very high quality standard. ESR now has a range of 44 high-quality guitar and bass effect pedals, and more to come in the future.

  • Iconic Pedals - The Plexitone

The Carl Martin PlexiTone, is as the name might indicate an unusual high gain three step rocket of an overdrive.

The PlexiTone offers two step overdrive, the crunch channel and the high gain channel, on top of that it gives you an up to 20dB clean boost channel.

The crunch channel goes from subtle overdrive to hard rock gain stage, the high gain channel goes from rock gain stages to absolutely meltdown, with loads of gain and low end, and all in a tone that brings the memory back to the early 80’s high gain guitar hero’s.

The PlexiTone has as most Carl Martin pedals a built in regulated (+-12V) power supply, to secure the necessary headroom that gives you the great tone.

  • Carl Martin Artists

The range of Carl Martin artists is extensive, and with all styles covered. Among the many Carl Martin aficionados include Joe Bonamassa, The Smith’s Johnny Marr, Pantera’s Rex Brown and, with their own artist pedals, Guitar legends Andy Timmons and Greg Howe.

Reviews and demos can be found from famous YouTube artists such as Pete Thorn, Darrell Braun, Simon Gotthelf and the Tone Lounge!

The Carl Martin Octaswitch ‘The Strip’

At first glance, the 'Octaswitch ‘The Strip', has all the same features as it’s predecessors. There are 8 fx Loops that can be programmed into 8 Banks. The Loops are all True-Bypass, impedance free gold relays so you can run all your pedals (old and new) without issue. The Main Input can be True Bypass, or it can be switched to Buffered for large stages or long cable runs. There are 8 blue LED's that indicate which of the 8 Loops is being used, and 8 green LED's that indicate which Bank is being used.
